Yom Ha’atzmaut – Israeli Independence Day
In 2024, Yom Ha’atzmaut (Israeli Independence Day) falls from sunset on Tuesday 13th May to sunset on Wednesday 14th May. The major State Ceremony takes place on the eve of Yom Ha’atzmaut at Mount Herzl, Israel’s National Ceremony in Jerusalem.
The proclamation of Israel’s independence by David Ben-Gurion was a monumental event in Jewish history. His words echoed the United Nations’ endorsement of Israel’s creation.
