Never Forget…

All jLiving Schemes lit a Yellow Candle this week – a Maccabi GB annual initiative – to honour those whose lives were tragically lost in the Holocaust.

Here you can see tenants Mirriam, Robin, Gill and Nigel from Lionel Leighton Court and Wolfson Court with their lit candles remembering those that perished in the Holocaust.

By lighting Yellow Candles, we can create a modern-day collective communal memorial, and ensure we Never Forget.

Each Yellow Candle includes a biographical card providing key information about a person who lost their life in the Holocaust, as well as two dwarf Sunflower Seeds for each empty Yellow Candle tin. This symbolic gesture represents ‘Remembrance to Renewal’, Planting seeds for the future while honouring the past.
