Tenants at Shine House Celebrate Rosh Hashanah with Delicious Afternoon Tea

The scent of apples and honey filled the air at Shine House, Finchley, as tenants gathered in the communal lounge to mark Rosh Hashanah with a delicious afternoon tea.

The event, organized by Housing Manager, Tanja, blended traditional New Year customs with the cozy charm of an English-style tea.

A long table was set up with sliced apple and pots of honey, pomegranate centrepieces, and trays of delicious, sweet treats and bowls of fruit. Alongside the traditional sweets, residents enjoyed freshly brewed tea while chatting to each other.

“It’s a lovely way to start the new year,” said Tanja. “We’re together, sharing stories, sharing sweet treats—it reminds us that we’re not alone. Tenants really enjoyed and appreciated the tea party.”
