Celebrating New Year in Finchley

Last week, tenants at Shine House, our Scheme in Finchley, came together to celebrate Rosh Hashanah with a lovely afternoon tea.

The celebration included sandwiches, honey cake and the traditional apples dipped in honey, symbolising hopes for a sweet new year. Tenants also enjoyed colourful platters of exotic fruits, all organised by Housing Manager Tanja with the help of a number of tenants.

Tanja said of the event: “Everyone had a wonderful time celebrating the new year.”

“It was a wonderful afternoon as tenants welcomed the Jewish New Year.”
