The celebration brought together traditions from both holidays: Purim, the Jewish festival commemorating the story of Queen Esther, and Holi, the Hindu festival of colours that marks the arrival of spring and the triumph of good over evil.
Leaseholders took part in activities inspired by both festivals, including sharing traditional foods, and stories about the meaning behind the celebrations. The joint celebration reflected the welcoming spirit of The Martins, where residents from many different backgrounds live side by side. By celebrating Purim and Holi together, tenants were able to highlight the importance of community, understanding, and joy.
Leaseholders described the event as a great success, and they appreciated the chance to connect with neighbours and experience traditions they may not have encountered before.
