With more than 100 events taking place across the country, the month-long programme showcases the richness, diversity and creativity of Jewish life through food, comedy, art, architecture, fashion, music, literature and
much more.
From poets to picklers, star performers to some of today’s most thought-provoking voices, the festival celebrates the very best of Jewish culture in Britain – past and present. Drawing on nearly 1,000 years of shared history, the programme reflects the vibrant diversity of Britain’s Jewish community today.
Major national institutions opening up their Jewish collections and stories include The British Museum, Tate Britain, Tate Modern, National Portrait Gallery, Victoria and Albert Museum, Museum of the Home and Science Museum.
Events are happening right across the UK, including in Manchester – home to Britain’s second-largest Jewish community – as well as Oxford, Leeds, Liverpool, Cambridge, Cardiff, Bath and Margate, among many others.
In London, participating venues include JW3, Freud Museum London and London Metropolitan Archives.
This landmark initiative brings together cultural institutions, community organisations, artists, chefs, performers and educators to create an accessible, vibrant and proudly public celebration of Jewish life in the UK.
The Board of Deputies of British Jews created and leads the project, helping connect communities through culture, conversation and creativity.
