jLiving Inter-Scheme Quiz Celebrates 60 Years of jLiving

We all know that it’s not the winning but the taking part that counts – and last week’s annual jLiving Inter-Scheme Quiz was a brilliant example of just that!

Held at Harmony Close, the quiz brought together teams from eight jLiving Schemes, alongside four staff teams and a Board and Subcommittee team, for an afternoon of friendly competition, teamwork and plenty of laughs.

The quiz was devised by our fantastic quizmaster, Jon, who is also a jLiving tenant. With a broad range of questions designed to test knowledge across a variety of subjects, with a particular focus on 1966 to mark jLiving’s 60th anniversary this year, Jon certainly kept everyone on their toes!

There was plenty to keep everyone refreshed throughout the afternoon, with a sandwich lunch followed by afternoon tea, along with a selection of drinks. The breaks provided a lovely opportunity for everyone to chat, catch up and enjoy each other’s company.

The atmosphere was lively as teams worked together to tackle the questions, with some very impressive scores and a particularly close competition between the teams.

The event was also a wonderful opportunity for tenants, staff and Board members to come together outside of their usual day-to-day activities and enjoy an afternoon as one jLiving community.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who took part, and to all the Housing Managers who helped organise teams and encourage their tenants to get involved. We were especially pleased to see teams from across eight Schemes taking part – and we hope even more will join us next year.

And, of course, a very special thank you to Jon for creating and running such an entertaining quiz, and to everyone who helped organise the food, drinks and refreshments.

The quiz may have been a competition, but the real winner was the jLiving community spirit!
