Over a hundred guests from the local community and beyond, along with local dignitaries attended.
Speeches from jLiving Chair, Adam Gamsu, and Chief Executive, Jane Goodman, recognised the hard work of everyone involved to finalise the coming together of the two organisations. The Board of B&HJHA were presented with gifts for their contributions.
Jane Goodman said: “We are looking forward to building an ongoing strong relationship and close links with the Jewish Communities in Brighton and Hove.”
Michael Davids, Chairman of B&HJHA added: “This merger represents a resounding vote of confidence in the future of the local Brighton & Hove and Sussex Jewish community.”
The event was a great opportunity for jLiving staff and Board members to both thank the former board and meet people from local organisations in the Jewish community and tenants in the area.
Leon Smith, jLiving Vice Chair, said: “Today’s event was excellent it was wonderful to see so many people in attendance.”
