There are lots of opportunities to stay active, meet people and enjoy the summer across local neighbourhoods.

• Michael Sobell Jewish Community Centre offers coffee mornings, talks, bridge, crafts, exercise classes and lunches on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
• Ann Owens Centre (Age UK Barnet) runs social groups and wellbeing activities for over-55s

• Stephens House & Gardens hosts garden walks, exhibitions, café meet-ups and summer concerts
• Age UK Barnet runs chair yoga, walking groups, crafts, dance classes and coffee mornings

• Brent libraries offer free talks, reading groups and digital help sessions throughout July

Colindale

• Tarling Road Community Hub hosts community lunches, games and local events

Wembley

• Wembley Park features free outdoor music, markets and summer entertainment on weekends
• Brent libraries and centres run craft sessions, board games and tea afternoons

Out of London Highlights 

Hemel Hempstead
Enjoy park walks, canal strolls and a packed July programme including Hemel Hullabaloo (25 July), live shows at The Old Town Hall, and the Hemel Old Town Beer Festival (17–19 July).

Hove
Enjoy summer concerts at St Andrew’s Church, theatre at The Old Market, and community events across Brighton & Hove in the run-up to Pride. The Hop 50+ also offers regular activities for over-50s.

Margate
A lively summer of beach days, art exhibitions, live music at Dreamland, and events at venues like The Oval Bandstand & Lawns and Tom Thumb Theatre.
