Mr and Mrs Morrison recently moved down from Glasgow to London and have now been living at jLiving Scheme, Wohl Lodge, in North West London for around six months.
When asked why they decided to move Mr Morrison emphasised the importance of family, describing how they moved here to be closer to his son and daughter, and respective grandchildren, who are both around two bus stops away!
He described how Glasgow has a declining Jewish population and that London was where many of his friends and family are now, not only from Glasgow but also South Africa where he lived before – and is also where his wife is from.
One way of spending more time with family is having a big Friday night dinner to talk and feel close to one another. This was one of the main factors for his move as he explained how these family dinners are his favourite time of the week.
Other than family, we talked about his great interest in gardening and how at Wohl Lodge he is constantly working on the gardens and green spaces for other tenants to enjoy and is making the place look lovely for the summer.
Aside from the Jewish community, he said that the large number of green spaces in London was another reason why he likes living here so much.
