Our team

Emily joined the jLiving Board in 2021. She has extensive experience in planning, having worked in the public and private sectors for the last 18 years and was also involved in other communal, affordable housing organisations prior to joining jLiving.

Joe has had an extensive career in both the public and private sectors including running technology companies across Europe, Middle East and Africa. Recently he has served on the Boards of a number of NHS organisations including the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Trust where he was Vice Chair and acting Chair. He has also served as a Councillor, Cabinet Member for Adult Social care and Health and party Leader in a London Borough.Joe has served as a Trustee of Arthritis Research UK and on the Court of Newcastle University where he was also Chair of the Medical Faculty Development Board.He is also currently a Council Member of the New London Synagogue where he and his family are members.

Jonathan, a Construction Solicitor, joined jLiving’s Property Subcommittee in 2013 and became a Board Member in 2023. He is Head of Construction at Collyer Bristow LLP, Chair of the Society of Construction Law and sits as an Adjudicator on the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Construction Adjudicators’ Panel. Jonathan provides assistance and guidance on the legal aspects of jLiving’s construction projects to refurbish its existing housing stock and create new build apartments.

Jonathan joined jLiving’s Property Subcommittee in 2021 and became a Board Member in June 2024. He is Director for Place at London First, a business membership organisation where he focuses on the built environment leading a team that covers housing, planning, commercial property and infrastructure policy. Prior to joining London First, Jonathan worked for a property trade association, think tank and a member of Parliament.

Joshua joined the Property and Finance & Audit Subcommittee in May 2023 and became a Board Member in June 2024.

After a 46-year career working in IT, Steve sought voluntary work within the wider community. He became a member of jLiving’s Property and Finance & Audit Subcommittee in June 2019 and in June 2020 he was appointed to the Board with responsibility for IT projects. In 2023 he joined the Marketing Subcommittee.
Since December 2020 Steve has represented jLiving on The Board of Deputies.

Additionally, Steve volunteers for The Association of Jewish Refugees, Jewish Care, Holocaust Memorial Day and his local library. He is also the founder and presenter of Tech Talk, a non-profit technology training initiative specialising in helping the older community to get the most from their smartphones, tablets and computers.
