Benjamin has been a Board member since 2013. Currently, he is Vice Chair of jLiving and Chair of the Property Subcommittee.
Benjamin has 40 years’ experience in real estate management and has been actively involved in several community organizations.
Edward has been on the Board of jLiving since 2013. He is a retired solicitor and served as a full time District Judge for 18 years until his retirement in 2013.
During his time on the Board, he has served on the Housing Operations Subcommittee and was Vice Chair of the Board from 2016 until 2019.
He is also involved with the charity Paperweight and has been a member of the Jewish Board of Deputies since 1995, representing Ealing United Synagogue, with which he has been heavily involved for over 50 years.
Emily joined the jLiving Board in 2021. She has extensive experience in planning, having worked in the public and private sectors for the last 18 years and was also involved in other communal, affordable housing organisations prior to joining jLiving.
Leon joined the jLiving Board in 2016 following his retirement as the Chief Executive of Nightingale Hammerson, one of the community’s largest providers of care for older people. He subsequently ran the Leo Baeck Housing Association and is an advisory Board member of a home care provider.
Leon chairs the jLiving Marketing Subcommittee and is keen to raise the profile of the organisation.
A former housing professional, Sara has over 30 years of senior management experience in the public sector and not for profit organisations. Sara was the Chief Executive of jLiving until 2015 and was elected to the Board in 2020. Sara also serves on the Housing Operations Subcommittee and is a trustee of the JBG Housing Trust.
After a 46-year career working in IT, Steve sought voluntary work within the wider community. He became a member of jLiving’s Finance and Audit Subcommittee in June 2019 and in June 2020 he was appointed to the Board with responsibility for IT projects.
Since December 2020 Steve has represented jLiving on The Board of Deputies.
Additionally, Steve volunteers for The Association of Jewish Refugees, Jewish Care, Holocaust Memorial Day and his local library. He is also the founder and presenter of Tech Talk, a non-profit technology training initiative specialising in helping the older community to get the most from their smartphones, tablets and computers.
